Half Marathon

JM has been training for a year to run a half marathon. I have been really impressed with his dedication to go running multiple times a week. This weekend, he completed his first, and was really excited about it. He finished in 2 hrs 6 minutes. BG and I were there at the finish line with a sign to cheer him on.

BG wasn't so excited about waiting, but did a good job.

Even after torturing himself by running 13.1 miles, he wants to not only do it again but also run a full marathon. So we may be doing more family weekend trips so he can run. Apparently there is one in Vegas in December. I wouldn't mind going there when it's cold here!

Even with thousands of people milling around, this is the one family picture we got. I was too lazy to ask someone else to take a picture for us.

    I'm impressed with anyone who even thinks about running a marathon (or half marathon), let alone DOING it. Good job to him!
